NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- For the fifth time this season, a Bulldog earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors.  On Monday, Samantha Bray was awarded as the league's top rookie for the second straight week.

Bray hit .452 on the weekend with 24 kills in wins over Princeton and Penn to help lead Yale into sole possession of first place in the conference standings.  In addition, Bray had a team-high 11 kills in the victory over Penn.

"I'm thrilled for Sam and our team," Yale head coach Erin Appleman said. "We played at a high level and she was a big part of that."

Entering the week, Bray ranks in the top 10 in league play in both hitting percentage (.295) and blocks per set (1.06).  The Bulldogs stand at 15-4 overall, 9-1 in the Ivy League and have won seven in a row.  Yale closes out its road schedule within the conference with matches at Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend.
