Oct. 1, 2008

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale Athletics website has launched an enhanced and upgraded Yale All*Access player in partnership with CBS College Sports. The new player can be used to view Yale home men's basketball, women's basketball, men's ice hockey, women's ice hockey and volleyball games live for free on yalebulldogs.com. The enhanced interface now utilizes Microsoft Silverlight technology, allowing for cross-browser and cross-platform capability.

The new Yale All*Access player is powered by Microsoft's Silverlight technology, providing increased web browser compatibility and a redesigned user-friendly, state-of-the-art interface. Those that do not have Silverlight on their computers, which was utilized by NBC during its Olympic internet coverage in Beijing, will be required to perform a quick one-time download of Silverlight before accessing the new video player.

The enhanced Yale All*Access player gives fans the highest-quality streaming experience and the most online video coverage of Yale Athletics. The new multimedia player also offers an improved search engine, which allows users to quickly locate videos they are interested in. Fans can search by sport, type of video and date to easily navigate to the newest content.

Yale All*Access is a free online service that offers live and on-demand streaming video of Yale Athletics events. Streaming video of more than 70 live games will be available via Yale All*Access throughout the 2008-09 season.

Bulldog fans who do not already have a Yale All*Access account can sign up for free at Yale All*Access.

All live video streams can be viewed at Yale All*Access or by clicking on the link for each game on each team's schedule page.
