Bulldogs Place Second at Fordham Invitational

Led by a third-place finish from Cara Kiernan, Yale placed second overall with 51 points at the Fordham Invitational Saturday. Providence, which had the top two individuals, won with 35 points. Columbia was third with 66 points.

Kiernan (18:22.67) finished just behind the Friars' Mary Cullen (17:26.72) and Deidre Byrne (18:19.59). Yale's Lindsay Donaldson was fourth (18:34.03). Also competing for the Bulldogs in the 15-team event were Ashley Campbell (19:13.62, 11th), Vanessa Everding (19:17.89, 14th), Katie McKinstry (19:24.10, 19th), Betsy Boucher (19:38.17, 25th), Claire Hamilton (19:42.74, 28th), Lauren Davis (19:45.36, 29th), Emily Vince (20:03.47, 35th), Madeleine Meek (20:20.36, 45th), Katie Dewitt (20:22.94), Jessie MacLeod (21:12.12, 75th) and Liz Calle (21:36.92, 92nd).
