Bulldog Women Take Third at Quinnipiac

Yale took third place in the women's team standings of the Quinnipiac Invitational, paced by junior Lauren Davis, who finished fourth individually in 19:20.9.

Senior Vanessa Mazandi was 13th in 20:03.3, five spots and 8.6 seconds ahead of Rachel Harrington. Freshman Meredith Leenhouts was 25th in 20:31.9. Next across for the Elis were Jessie McLeod in 33rd (20:43.2), Ingrid Sproll in 36th (20:48.3) and Liz Calle in 43rd (21:01.9).

Northeastern nipped Quinnipiac, 48 points to 49, take the team title. Yale's 90 points were 22 better than fourth-place Monmouth.

The rest of the Elis will be in action Saturday at the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa.
