ORONO, Maine - The Yale women's cross country team finished second Saturday morning at the Murray Keatinge Invitational with a total of 74 points. Despite a tough team performance, the Bulldogs were defeated by a very strong Duke team (30 pts.) that placed its top five runners in the top nine places of a 110-runner field.
Captain Lindsay Donaldson lead the Bulldogs on the 5,000-meter course, finishing second overall in 17:15.30. Junior Bevin Peters was next for Yale, finishing 12th in 18:05.20. Sophomore Stephanie Pearl, Yale's third finisher, was 17th in 18:13.40. Senior Ingrid Sproll and junior Kelli Buck concluded the scoring for the Bulldogs, finishing 24th (18:25.20) and 27th (18:28.40) respectively.
Yale returns to action next Saturday at the New England Championships in Boston, Mass.
