Molly Chamberlain

Molly Chamberlain joined the Yale staff as an assistant coach in July 2018. She is the women’s recruiting coordinator, trains middle distance, and works with Connor Beaulieu to manage team operations.
 
The 2021-22 season resulted in a second-place place finish at Ivy League Championships. The Bulldogs added 21 new times to their all-time top times list, with 70 percent of the current roster having achieved lifetime best swims at Yale. The team set three new school records, including the Ivy Championship winning 200 freestyle relay. This relay earned the Ivy Meet record and Blodgett Pool record at Harvard University. The Bulldogs set six new Kiphuth Pool Records.
 
In her first two seasons, the Bulldogs finished second and third at Ivy League Championships. The Bulldogs earned multiple Ivy Championship titles in 2019, including three relays and individual swims from NCAA qualifier, Bella Hindley. 
 
Prior to Yale, Chamberlain spent two seasons at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. She assisted in all facets of the program, scheduling, recruiting, practice planning and meet preparation. During Chamberlain’s first season in 2016-17, SHU went 9-2, the most wins in program history. The Pioneers defeated LIU-Brooklyn, Iona, and Assumption College for the first time in school history.
 
Chamberlain helped Sacred Heart rewrite the school’s record books, setting new marks for more than 30 records. 68 percent of the SHU All Time Top Times List were posted during her tenure. During her two years, she helped guide the team to third place at the 2017 ECAC Championships, and sixth place at the 2018 NEC Championships.

Chamberlain had a successful collegiate career swimming for Siena College from 2008-2011. She was part of the 200-yard medley relay team that broke the school record and won MAAC Conference Championships. She broke individual school records in the 100, 200, and 500-yard freestyle events in 2010, earning her the Saint’s ’09 -‘10 MVP title.
 
Chamberlain graduated from Siena College in 2011 with a degree in Social Work. She currently lives in New Haven, Conn.
