Tsai Lacrosse Field House

Thanks to the generous gift from former men’s lacrosse player Joseph C. Tsai ’86, ’90 J.D., and his wife, Clara Wu Tsai, the Tsai Lacrosse Field House opened to occupancy on Monday, May 31, 2021.

This state-of-the-art facility is home of Yale Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse and Men’s & Women’s Soccer. The building is located on the west end zone of Reese Stadium along Central Avenue. In addition to team locker rooms and office spaces, the field house also includes support spaces for athletic medicine, hydrotherapy, strength & conditioning and equipment services.
The Tsai Lacrosse Field House totals 34,800 square feet with 6,610 devoted to strength & conditioning which is open to all varsity student-athletes. The strength & conditioning area features Sorinex custom racks and Black Iron Strength dumbbells that have state of the art antimicrobial copper CuLEAN by CuVerro handles which kills 99.0% of all germs.Â

The field house contains over 2,000 square feet dedicated to athletic medicine which includes hydrotherapy pools, an aquatic treadmill, physician’s office and diagnostics space with x-ray and DEXA scan equipment.

The building also boasts an expansive team center that will be used for student-athlete recovery and game preparation with the use of a 70-person, retractable seat film room. The team center will convert into a VIP viewing area on game days.
