Colgate scored all four of its goals on the power play to beat Yale 4-1 Friday night at Starr Rink. The Raiders limited Yale to just 20 shots -- including only four in the third period -- and Brook Wheeler stopped 19 of them to move her league-leading save percentage to .938. Natalie Babony scored Yale's only goal.
The Raiders took advantage of an obstruction penalty on Yale to score first, as Cassie Reid tallied at 13:36 of the first period. Babony's goal, which bounced off Wheeler's glove, came just 31 seconds later on an assist by Lisa Jacque. Mallory Johnston put Colgate back up at 11:21 of the second, and the Raiders put the game away in the third with two goals from Amanda Barre, including an empty-netter with 57 seconds left.
Despite the loss, Yale remains in fourth place in the conference with four games remaining. The Bulldogs travel to Cornell for a 4:00 p.m. game on Saturday which can be followed live via GameTracker.
