New Haven, Conn. - Coming off a 6-1 win over Boston College on Saturday, the Yale Women's Tennis Team continued to impress, shutting down Boston University 7-0 at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
Bulldog Junior Victoria Brook defeated Stefanie Nunic in three sets at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, sophomore Elizabeth Epstein took on Vivien Lasloffy, winning in a compact two sets. Freshman Blair Seideman also had a successful match against Monika Mical, dropping only three games in the contest. Junior Stephanie Kent defeated Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis in two sets, winning the final match in a tie-breaker. Freshmen Annie Sullivan and Kim Szokol rounded out the Bulldog's singles roster, handily defeating their opponents in two sets.
The Bulldog's doubles teams also posted strong results. Victoria Brook and Lindsay Clark lost a tough match at No. 1 doubles to Vivien Laszloffy and Stephanie Nunic. Duos Annie Sullivan and Stephanie Kent and Kim Szokol and Silia DeFilippis both won their matches, at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.
Yale will travel to Notre Dame next weekend for the ITA Division I Kick Off Weekend. The match is scheduled for 1p.m. on Saturday.
