The Bulldogs close out their Ivy League road schedule this weekend with matches at Columbia and Cornell.  Yale enters the weekend tied for first place in the Ivy League.  

Down to the Wire

The Bulldogs (12-7, 8-2 Ivy) are tied with Harvard with four matches left in the conference regular season.  Harvard plays at Princeton and Penn this weekend.  Princeton currently sits in third place.  See the full standings here. 

Last Time Out

Yale split a pair of home matches last weekend - with a 3-0 win over Dartmouth and a 3-0 loss to Harvard.  

Honor Roll

Maddie Rudnick, Mollie Rogers and Kelsey Crawford all earned a spot on the Ivy League Honor Roll for their performances last weekend.   Rudnick averaged 5.50 digs per set, while Rogers averaged 5.0 kills per set.  Crawford averaged over 12 assists per set.  See the full Ivy League Weekly Release here

Rogers Earns Academic Honor

Senior Mollie Rogers, a three-time first-team All-Ivy selection, was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 1 second team.  Rogers, a molecular, cellular and developmental biology major, is enjoying another outstanding season this fall. She recently became only the sixth player in Yale volleyball history to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a collegiate career and is ninth all-time at Yale in kills.  See the full release here.

Road Success

The Bulldogs enter this weekend 17-2 in Ivy League road matches over the last three seasons.  

Scouting Columbia

Columbia enters the weekend with a 3-7 conference record and a 7-12 overall record.  The Lions are the top blocking team in Ivy League play, averaging 2.55 blocks per set as a team.  Yale defeated Columbia, 3-1, back on Oct. 18.

 Scouting Cornell

Cornell (5-15, 2-8 Ivy) are led by Emily Wemhoff (2.99 kills/s) and Maddy Sroufe (2.82 kills/s), while Natasha Rowland (5.56 digs/s) leads the conference in digs per set in conference only matches.  The Bulldogs beat the Big Red back on Oct. 17.

Next Up

The Bulldogs host Princeton on Friday, Nov. 14, and Penn on Nov. 15 to wrap up the Ivy League regular season.  Before the match on Saturday, seniors Mollie Rogers and Maddie Rudnick will be honored.
