Box Score Individuals Set Career and Season Highs in Digs
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Yale's defense provided a lift Friday night at Cornell in a 3-2 win and set a conference high mark for 2015.
The Bulldogs posted 101 digs, a season high for an Ivy League match, to keep pace in the conference standings. Yale stands one game behind Harvard in the standings entering Saturday's play.
The defense's output was the highest total since the Bulldogs amassed 102 digs at Maryland on Sept. 9, 2011.
Freshman Kate Swanson (25) and senior captain Karlee Fuller (20) set career-highs in digs, while senior Kelly Johnson set a season-best with 20. Brittani Steinberg (12) and Kaitlyn Gibbons (10) also went for double figures.
Yale plays at Columbia today at 5 p.m. Columbia defeated Brown, 3-0, on Friday night.
