Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- After scoring two goals in the final 5:06 Saturday to lead the Yale women's ice hockey team to a 4-3 come-from-behind win against then-No. 5 Quinnipiac, Yale senior forward Janelle Ferrara (Winthrop, Mass.) has been named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week. The league made the announcement Tuesday.
Ferrara, Yale's captain, leads the Bulldogs in goals and points (4-1-5) after her memorable performance against Quinnipiac. She also assisted on Yale's first goal Saturday -- moving into a tie for 12th on the Bulldogs' career assists list with 43 -- and extended her streak of games without a penalty to 12. Including Friday's game vs. Princeton, Ferrara had four points (3-1-4) and was +3 for the weekend.
Yale (1-2-0, 1-1-0 ECAC Hockey) plays at BU Tuesday night.
