PRINCETON, N.J. — Yale took its fourth Ivy League win in as many conference matches as the Bulldogs defeated the Princeton Tigers 7-2 on Saturday.
Once again, Yale's depth proved a vital asset as the middle of the lineup racked up a series of 3-0 wins on the way to a comfortable victory.
The two matches the Bulldogs dropped were the closest two of the day. Senior Pehlaaj Bajwa had a 2-1 lead at No. 9, but could not stave off a Princeton rally. Senior Zac Leman, in the top spot, played a thrilling match after his team had secured the win that saw all three games decided by 15-13 scores — but in Princeton's favor each time.
Yale will look to replicate the overally quality it demonstrated today against a tougher opponent in No. 2 Penn. That match will begin at 12:00 p.m.
