Bulldogs Take Doubles Point
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team fell to Cornell 6-1 at the Cullman Heyman Tennis Center on Saturday.
Yale was off to a strong start after victories on courts 2 and 3. Junior Carol Finke and sophomore Amy Yang defeated Mariko Iinuma and Priyanka Shah 6-2 in the No. 2 spot. At No. 3 doubles, senior captain Tina Jiang and fellow senior Caroline Lynch overcame Madison Stevens and Lizzie Stewart 6-3.
Cornell then responded with a series of singles wins to clinch the match. On court 2, Yang pushed D'Ascenzo to a third set but narrowly lost in the tiebreak for a final score of 4-6, 6-2, 10-8.

The Bulldogs will return to the courts on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to compete against Columbia in their final match of the season.
