Box Score Elis Drop Game One of Two Game Set
New Haven, CONN. -- In just their sixth-ever meeting, the Yale women's hockey team was defeated 7-1 by second-ranked Minnesota at Ingalls on Friday.
First-year forward Claire Dalton netted her first collegiate goal to put the Bulldogs on the board with under a minute left in the first period. Dalton was set up by first-year forward Charlotte Welch and sophomore defenseman Lauren Moriyama to cut Minnesota's lead in half.
Minnesota's Grace Zumwinkle recorded a hat trick for the Gophers with three second period goals.
The Bulldogs and the Gophers are back in action tomorrow afternoon at Ingalls. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
