Box Score

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs clinched their ninth Ivy League title in the last 15 years with a 3-0 win over Cornell on Friday night.

The scores of the match were 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.   Yale has won 10 straight, improved to 18-4 overall and 12-1 in league play.

The Bulldogs captured their second straight Ivy League title on a night when the Yale Volleyball program fittingly welcomed back past championship teams from 1978, 2008 and 2013.  Tomorrow night Yale can clinch a berth to the NCAA Tournament with a victory or a Princeton loss.

Kelley Wirth led the way with 17 kills, while Ellis DeJardin, the reigning Ivy Rookie of the Week, had 10 kills and 11 digs.  Kate Sanson finished with a team-high 14 digs.

Yale tomorrow will host Columbia at 5 p.m.  Prior to the match, the Bulldogs will recognize the five seniors on this year's roster -- Kate Aitkenhead, Shreya Dixit, Gray Malias, Wirth and Swanson.
