NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Yale men's squash team played to a strong victory on Sunday with a 9-0 win over Ivy League opponent Cornell.
The Bulldogs were cool and confident on home courts in the Brady Squash Center, despite having their usual No. 7 and 8, first-year Tyler Carney and junior Yohan Pandole, out with injuries.
First-year Jacob Rhee and junior Jonathan Kovak fit into the lineup seamlessly and were able to step up and perform in their first matches in the top 9 this season.
Yale will continue Ivy League play when they host rival Harvard on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Brady Squash Center in Payne Whitney Gymnasium. The Bulldogs' final match of the regular season will take place in Hanover, N.H. on Sunday, where they will take on Dartmouth starting at noon.
