Box Score 2 NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Less than 24 hours after a season-opening victory, the Bulldogs kept up their winning ways on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 win over Central Connecticut State.
The scores of the match were 25-22, 25-22 and 27-25.
Frances Arnautou dished out 40 assists for the Bulldogs and broke a 25-25 tie in the third with a kill. After taking the first set, the Bulldogs scored seven of the final eight points in set two to take a commanding lead in the match.
For the second straight match, first-year Ellis DeJardin led the way in kills and swings. The rookie had 12 kills on 43 total attacks.
Tristin Kott, who earned second-team All-Ivy last season, had 10 kills and hit .368. Kott had two key points down the strech in the second-set win.
Senior Gray Malias had 10 digs, eight kills and hit .389 for Yale, while team captain Kate Swanson added 14 digs.
The Bulldogs return to action at 7 p.m. tonight to host Quinnipiac. It will mark the first meeting between the two schools since 2011.
