Rebecca Vanstone each had a pair of tallies as the Bulldogs cruised to a 5-1 win over Long Island University at Ingalls Rink.
"We played a whole, 60-minute game," said Welch, a Winchester, Mass., native. "We didn't take them for granted. We are a more cohesive unit this year and there's a lot more communication out there."
Elle Hartje, who had a goal and an assist today, ended her first weekend of Yale hockey with four goals and six points, while sophomore center
Claire Dalton added a pair of helpers today.

The Bulldogs (2-0) scored three in the first and a pair in the second to complete the sweep and set up their opening weekend of ECAC Hockey action at Dartmouth and Harvard.
