The Bulldogs enter the weekend tied in first place in the Ivy League and have won 11 of 12 matches with matches at Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend. Yale is 7-1 in conference play and have an overall record of 11-6. Â
Arnautou Earns Weekly Honors
Senior setter Frances Arnautou was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday. Arnautou, the reigning conference player of the year, had 33 assists, 14 digs and added three kills in a 3-0 win at Brown last Saturday.
Bray Stays Hot at the Net
Sophomore Samantha Bray is hitting .450 in Ivy League play after hitting .455 (7 kills) in the victory at Brown last Saturday. Â For the conference season, she has 71 kills on 131 swings with only 12 errors.Â
Somera Steps Up
First-year Maile Somera followed up her career-high 19 digs against Cornell with 16 digs in the victory at Brown last weekend. In league play, she ranks second on the team with 2.81 digs per set. Â
Serving Up Aces
Yale continues to dominate in aces per set. The Bulldogs have out-"aced" opponents 84-62. In Ivy play, the Bulldogs have a 32-21 edge, led Yurika Boyd (8) and Renee Shultz (7). Â
Scouting the Opponents
Dartmouth (7-11, 2-6 Ivy) - The Big Green is coming off a two-win weekend, with a 3-0 sweep of Harvard and 3-1 win over New Hampshire. Yale won the first matchup with Dartmouth 3-1 on Oct. 4.
Harvard (4-13, 2-6 Ivy) - The Crimson defeated Penn back on Oct. 19 and followed up with a loss at Dartmouth last Friday. Yale defeated Harvard 3-0 on Oct. 5.
