Nicholas MacNab made 30 saves but it was not enough for Yale to hold off No. 9 Clarkson in a 4-1 men's ECAC Hockey decision at Ingalls Rink.

The home team used a few big MacNab saves to ignite its offense and get on the board first. Senior defenseman Chandler Lindstrand's shot from the top of the left circle zipped past Frank Marotte's glove at 3:16 of the opening period.

The Golden Knights (10-3-1) scored the next four, including an empty-netter, while getting 27 saves from Marotte.

Yale (2-6-0) is back in action Tuesday night at Boston College.
