Game Notes
The Yale Men's Hockey Team makes a week two trip to Western New York to face Colgate and Cornell in a pair of 7 p.m. games on ESPN+ on Friday and Saturday.
BULLDOGS
Yale is coming off an opening weekend split with Brown that included a 3-2 win at New Haven and a 5-1 loss at Providence.
Curtis Hall scored the first and third goals,
Mitchell Smith hit the net for the other and
Corbin Kaczperski got the win in net last Friday.
Cole Donhauser notched his first career goal unassisted on Saturday, but the Bears tallied four times on the advantage.
RAIDERS
Colgate is 1-4-3 with a win over UMass-Lowell and ties against Providence and Miami. The Raiders earned the draw at PC last Friday by scoring twice in the third period after being down 3-1.
BIG RED
No. 4 ranked Cornell opened the season at East Lansing, Mich., last week and swept Michigan State, 3-2 and 6-2. The Big Red combined for nine tallies while putting 30 shots on target each night.
SERIES
The Bulldogs, with four straight wins, have a 52-49-6 edge in the Colgate series which began in 1916-17. The Big Red have an 85-63-8 lead over the Elis since the first meeting in 1901-02. Nine of the last 14 Yale-Cornell meetings have been decided by a goal or less.
