Senior Day Saturday at Johnson Field

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With four wins in its last five games, the Yale field hockey team looks to end the season on a high note this Saturday vs. Brown (1:00 p.m., ESPN+). It is Senior Day, and the Bulldogs will salute the six members of the Class of 2020.

BULLDOGS SWEEP ANOTHER WEEKEND
Yale (6-10, 2-4 Ivy League) swept a weekend for the second time in three weeks last time out, winning 4-3 in overtime at Columbia Nov. 1 and then beating Merrimack 8-1 at Johnson Field this past Sunday. In the win at Columbia, junior goalkeeper Sydney Terroso (York, Pa.) made a spectacular save to preserve the tie near the end of regulation and junior forward/midfielder Olivia Levieux (Johannesburg, South Africa) scored on a penalty stroke two minutes into OT. Against Merrimack five different players scored goals, led by a five-point day from senior midfielder Bridget Condie (St. Louis, Mo.) (2-1-5). Condie was named to Synapse Sports' national weekly honor roll for her efforts, which also included a goal and an assist at Columbia.

SENIOR CLASS
The senior class has been a part of 32 wins, the most by a Yale class in five years. The seniors have also helped Yale Field Hockey earn the NFHCA National Academic Team Award each of the past three seasons.
  • Forward Annina Zelkin (Lorton, Va.) has emerged as a regular contributor for the Bulldogs. Earlier this season against Dartmouth at Johnson Field she scored her first career goal. She has appeared in 35 games for her career, including 22 over the past two years. She is a history of science, medicine and public health major and a member of Saybrook College.
  • Forward Camille Scheyer (Glencoe, Ill.) has contributed several big goals throughout her career. Five of her eight goals have been game-winners, including one against Dartmouth this season. A forward, she has a career-high four goals this year and has tied her career high in points with eight. She is a three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree. She is a political science major and a member of Pierson College.
  • Back Alex MacKay (North Vancouver, B.C.) has developed into one of Yale's top backs. She has 33 career starts, including 26 over the past two seasons. She is a three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad selection. She is a psychology major and a member of Silliman College.
  • Back Tara Litjens (Kingston, Pa.) has been a key contributor throughout her career. A back, she has played 64 games for her career, including eight starts. Last season she earned NFHCA National Academic Squad honors. She is an environmental studies major and a member of Grace Hopper College.
  • Back Holly Jackson (Glastonbury, England) has been one of Yale's most reliable backs since the day she arrived on campus. She has started 60 games for her career, including every game of her sophomore and junior seasons. Last year she earned second team All-Ivy League recognition. She is a three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad selection. She is a political science major and a member of Grace Hopper College.
  • Midfielder Bridget Condie (St. Louis, Mo.) has been one of Yale's top players throughout her career. A midfielder, she impacts the game both on offense and on defense. This season, she leads the team in goals and points (10-5-25). She is tied for third in the Ivy League in goals and is fourth in points. She has earned All-Ivy League honors twice in her career, including first-team recognition last season and second-team recognition as a sophomore. Last season, after leading the team in points and assists and tying for the team lead in goals, she was a first team All-Mideast Region honoree. She is a three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree. She is a history major and a member of Pierson College.
 
SCOUTING BROWN
Brown (5-11, 1-5 Ivy League) has lost four games in a row and is 0-7 in road games. The Bears' leading scorer is midfielder/forward Danielle van Rootselaar (8-4-20), whose 82 shots are 12 more than any other player in the Ivy League this season. She was a first team All-Ivy pick last season.

Senior forward/midfielder Corinne Condie, cousin of Yale senior midfielder Bridget Condie (St. Louis, Mo.), has started all 16 games this season and has nine points (2-5-9).
