Bulldogs Compete in Day One of Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

Montgomery, Ala.- The Yale women's tennis team completed their first day at the Blue Gray National tennis classic earlier on Friday, losing 4-0 to Wake Forest, who are ranked in the top 25.

Wake Forest took the first two doubles matches to seize the doubles point and get off to an early 1-0 lead. The No. 3 matchup was stopped early.

That momentum carried into singles; the Bulldogs dropped the No. 1, 3, 5, and 6 matchups in straight sets, while the No. 4 matchup finished early. Caroline Dunleavy's match also wrapped up prematurely, with her three games away from victory.

The Bulldogs will take on Alabama in Day Two of the tournament.
