NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Curtis Hall has 10 goals in his 12 games this season. The sophomore center had two tonight and helped set up a third, while goalie Corbin Kaczperski stopped all 21 shots in the Yale Men's Hockey Team's 5-0 win over Union in ECAC play at Ingalls Rink.

After a scoreless opening frame, Hall, the Boston Bruins' draft pick, fired a wrister blocker side from the slot just 25 seconds into the second. Jack St. Ivany's shot from the point whizzed through traffic and found the net almost nine minutes later before Hall converted a pretty Tyler Welsh (2 assists) feed on the doorstep for a 3-0 advantage.

"Our team defense was the foundation of this result tonight," said Keith Allain '80, Yale's Malcolm G. Chace Head Coach. "We blocked a lot of shots and won a lot of battles down low."

Justin Pearson's shorthanded breakaway and Kevin O'Neil's re-direction score were the third-period tallies that put this one away. Both of those Elis enjoyed two-point nights.

"I thought it was a great bounce back for us," said Kaczperski, referring to last weekend's game with Harvard. "Our team defense was stellar and out forechecking was outstanding. They were really hunting pucks, and that created lot of opportunities for us."

The senior goalie made 10 of his stops in the third period and blanked Union on five advantages to earn his second shutout of the season.
