Bulldogs battle, fall to Rochester

Elis look to bounce back against Trinity

On Saturday, the Bulldogs (7-2, 3-0 IVY) fell in a close match to Rochester University by a margin of 2-7.

Yale's lone wins came from Calvin McCafferty '20 and Patrick Feeley '22 at positions three and nine.

Spencer Lovejoy '20, Siow Yee Xian '23, and Jacob Rhee '21 all took their opponents to five games but did not come away with the win.

Still, facing several injuries, the team rallied and put forth their best effort, according to the Brooks G. Ragen Director of Squash Dave Talbott.

"The men played very strong across the board in a close loss to Rochester with two of our top three players out with injuries," Talbott said. "The men lost several close matches that could have gone either way, and I am really proud of the way they stepped up, particularly Calvin who played a stellar match and Patrick who stepped in to get a win."

The Elis next host long-time foe Trinity at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
