PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Yale women's swimming and diving team kicked off the Ivy League Championships on Wednesday at Brown. After one day of competition, the Bulldogs currently sit in third place with 108 points, 20 points behind the first-place Harvard and just four points in back of second-place Princeton.

Yale finished third in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay, the only two events of the evening. Harvard finished first and Princeton took second, respectively, in each of the events.

Yale's 200 medley relay team was
Jamie Yeh,
Jessica Whang,
Caitlin Tycz and
Izzi Henig and they posted a time of 1:39.13

The 800 relay team was
Raime Jones, Ashley Loomis, Lili Margitai and
Izzi Henig. They had a time of 7:12.60.

The individual events and diving events are set to commence tomorrow evening. Yale will send swimmers out for the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley and 50-yard freestyle. The divers will compete in the 1-meter dive.
