– Two Yale relay teams competed on the first day of the Ivy League Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on the campus of Harvard University.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of first-year
Joseph Page, junior
Patrick Frith, sophomore
Nathan Stern, and senior
Henry Gaissert finished fourth with a 6:27.04 final time.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Gaissert, junior
Sam Pekarek, sophomore
Philippe Marcoux and sophomore
Michael Blank placed seventh with a time of 1:27.98.
Yale currently sits in sixth place in the competition with 98 points, but three days of competition remain.
Thursday's preliminaries get under way at 11 a.m. followed by the final at 6 p.m.
