CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On the second day of Ivy League Round Robin, the Yale men's fencing team went 1-1. The Bulldogs knocked off Brown 16-11 and fell to Columbia 19-8.

The Bulldogs began the day against Brown. The saber squad led the way to the win, going 8-1 against the Bears, with
Kevin Callahan,
Elijah Hong, and
Andrew Zhang going undefeated. Epeeist
Isaac Shelanski also went undefeated, and
Cameron Allen,
Earnest Chen, and
Nicolas Del Vecchio all won the majority of their bouts. This marks the fifth year in a row that Yale has defeated Brown at Ivies.

Next, Yale fenced against Columbia. Though the Bulldogs fought hard, the Lions are a formidable team Despite facing such tough opponents, first years
Jonah Cho and
Allan Ding managed winning records.

At the end of the day,
Isaac Shelanski put up an 8-6 record in the epee, narrowly missing All-Ivy Honors with his seventh-place finish. Squad mate and fellow senior
Malcolm Miller ended the competition with an 8-7 record which was enough to put him in 8th place overall.

On the saber squad,
Nicolas Del Vecchio and
Andrew Zhang tied for 10th overall.
Elijah Hong went undefeated but did not fence enough bouts to qualify for Ivy League Honors. Foilist
Earnest Chen also made the top 10 after the two days of competition.

The Bulldogs will next take the strip at the NCAA Northeast Regionals, held in New York City on March 8.Â
