Charlotte Welch scored three times and Yale skated past the Connecticut Whale, 8-3, in an Oct. 15 exhibition at Ingalls Rink. That result, which included a 3-on-3 period of five minutes, was the first for the Elis since game three of the conference playoffs at Harvard in March of 2020. The Bulldogs, who also had a scrimmage the next day at Brown, got a strong showing from senior
Gianna Meloni in net for the first half of the game.
Â

The Hawks opened the season by beating Maine 3-2 at Orono before dropping a pair at No. 8 Quinnipiac. St. Anselm opened its home slate in Manchester, N.H., on Oct. 13 and lost 5-0 to No. 5 Northeastern. St. Anselm has two goals each from three different players, while Allie Kelley has all the starts in net and has a .920 save percentage.
