Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Yale Men's Hockey Team opened the 2021-22 season by skating to a 2-0 loss at Brown despite outshooting the home team 32-25 and having nine power-play chances.
Luke Pearson, a first-year goalie from Whitby, Ont., made 23 saves and looked confident in his first Yale game.
This was the first game in 600 days for both programs, something that didn't help skaters stay out of the penalty box. There were 24 penalties for 81 minutes including a bunch in the last few minutes of the third period.
