YALE GAME NOTES

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Men's Hockey Team has a pair of non-conference contests this week both on the road and at home. Friday night at 7, the Bulldogs skate at Army before returning to Ingalls Rink for a 7 p.m. Saturday exhibition with Sacred Heart. Friday's game airs live on FloSports while Saturday's can be seen on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.

SERIES
Yale owns a 41-17-1 record against Army in a series that began in the 1941-42 season. The last meeting was in January of 2000, a 5-1 Yale win at New Haven. The last encounter at West Point was the year before. Yale has won six of the eight regular season meetings with Sacred Heart since the first in 2009. The Pioneers won the last one in the semifinal of the 2020 CT Ice at Webster Bank Arena, the site of both SHU victories over the Elis. This is the first exhibition game between the two.

BULLDOGS
Yale, looking for its first win of the season, is coming off losses to No. 6 Quinnipiac and Princeton at home. Niklas Allain had both of Yale's goals last weekend in the 6-2 game with Princeton. Reilly Connors and Justin Pearson had the primary assists on the sophomore forward's tallies. Sophomore goalie Nathan Reid got both starts last week, including a 34-save night against the Bobcats in a 3-0 decision.

CADETS
Army is 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the AHA after beating Princeton 4-1 on Oct. 30. Winners of two straight, the Cadets are led offensively by Anthony Firriolo (4-2-6), while Gavin Abric (2-3-1, 1.67) and Justin Everson (0-2, 5.57) have shared the net duties.

PIONEERS
Sacred Heart (3-4-3, 1-1-2 AHA) is coming off a pair of 3-3 OT games at Mercyhurst. The Pioneer lineup has included former Bulldog Dante Palecco (1-1-2) nine times this fall. Goalie Justin Robbins (3-3-3, 2.39) is the primary starter.
