NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale volleyball team aims to close out the 2021 season with at least 10 conference wins for the fifth straight season with matches at Dartmouth and Harvard this weekend. The Bulldogs face the Big Green on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Crimson on Saturday at 5 p.m.

After splitting a pair of matches last weekend, Yale enters the weekend tied with Princeton for second place in the Ivy League and has a chance to finish among the top two in conference play for the 16th time in the last 17 seasons. Â

Kathryn Attar posted her second double-double in three matches last Friday as the Bulldogs won their fifth straight match in a five-set victory over Penn.Â
Fatima Samb finished with 10 kills, while
Bonnie Bostic added nine. Â

The next night,
Maile Somera set an Ivy League season-high with 25 digs in a three-set match and
Tiffany Pedersen-Henry posted double-figures in kills (13) for the sixth time this season in a loss to Princeton.

The Big Green enters the weekend 6-6 in league play, 14-7 overall and has won four straight matches. Taite Ryan was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday after posting a team-leading 30 kills (3.75 kills/set), including a career-high 24 digs, in the Big Green's win over Cornell. Yale defeated Dartmouth 3-1 on Oct. 9.Â

The Crimson begin the weekend with a 10-11 overall record and a 7-5 mark in the Ivy League. Jamie Rao and Katie Vorhies both surpassed 250 kills this season and rank ninth and 10th respectively in the conference rankings. The Crimson beat Yale 3-2 back on Oct. 8. Â
