Bulldogs Get Goals from Three but Fall at Army

Allain adds two points in 6-3 decision

Box Score WEST POINT, N.Y.  – Teddy Wooding, Cole Donhauser and Graham Lillibridge found the net and Connor Hopkins made 43 saves in Yale's first non-conference game of the year, a 6-3 loss at Army.

The Bulldogs, who got two assists from Niklas Allain, one of only nine healthy forwards in the lineup, were outshot 49-33 by an Army team coming off a 4-1 win over Princeton.

Hopkins, a junior making his first collegiate start, kept the Elis close. Army had a 2-1 lead after one and a 3-2 edge heading into the third. Hopkins is the third Bulldog goalie to make his collegiate debut this season.

Yale is back home Saturday at 7 to host Sacred Heart in an exhibition contest at the Whale.
