Streak Up to Four with 8-3 win over Dartmouth

Dalton has six-point day, helps Yale Sweep

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The winning streak is now four games for the Yale Women's Hockey Team after it completed an ECAC weekend sweep with an 8-3 win over Dartmouth at Ingalls Rink.

Vita Poniatovskaia and Emma Seitz had two goals each while Claire Dalton dished out six assists and Charlotte Welch, who won 13 of 14 faceoffs, had a goal and two assists.

The Bulldogs (6-2, 4-2 ECAC), who had six votes in this week's uscho.com national poll and then beat No. 10 Harvard 3-1 last night, outshot the visitors 39-28 after pumping 16 on the Dartmouth netminder in the opening frame.

Yale, using precision passing and a great forecheck, scored four times in a 12-minute span of the first period to put the game away.

Gianna Meloni played the first two periods and picked up the win before leaving with 17 saves. Pia Dukaric came on for the third and stopped eight of 10 shots.

Other highlights from the contest included newcomer Anna Bargman's first career assist and goal and Greta Skarzynski's 100th collegiate game.

"It was a very successful weekend, getting four points in a tough conference," said Mark Bolding, Yale's Susan Cavanagh Head Coach. Great to see offensive contributions from so many people. We had another great start, which was so important. Claire Dalton had a great game, and it was nice to see Anna Bargman get her first goal."
