CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior Kathryn Attar posted a match-high 16 kills and delivered the final point on Saturday night in a dramatic five-set victory at Harvard to close out the season.  

The scores of the match were 29-27, 18-25, 13-25, 25-15 and 15-9. With the win, Yale finished the season 16-7 overall and 9-5 in league play. 

Maile Somera delivered four aces in the final set, including three in a row to extend Yale's advantage to 9-5.  Carly Diehl followed with a kill, and the Bulldogs were in control.  Diehl had 39 assists, seven kills, six digs and four aces.

Attar also delivered four kills in the fourth set to force the deciding frame.  Up 16-13, the Bulldogs went on a 4-0 run to create separation with kills from Diehl,Sam Bray, Mila Yarich and an ace from Somera. 

Harvard took sets two and three after the Bulldogs captured a tight first set.  

Kills from Diehl and Tiffany Pedersen-Henry tied the first set at 24-24.  Attar gave Yale the lead twice late in the set before Diehl finally closed out the set with an ace.
