Bulldogs finish play in the Holiday Face-Off

Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Connor Hopkins stopped 23 of 25 shots and all four power-play attempts while Briggs Gammill scored his first career goal, but the Yale Men's Hockey Team fell 2-1 against Bowling Green in the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off at Fiserv Forum.

The Falcons scored early in the first and late in the second before the Bulldogs responded midway through the final frame. Gammill, the first-year center from New Canaan, Conn., found the net after a breakout pass from sophomore Ryan Stevens. Gammill skated through the neutral zone and crossed the blueline before unleashing a wrist shot. Junior defenseman Brandon Tabakin picked up the second assist.

Yale, which lost 3-2 in OT the night before to Wisconsin, returns to New Haven to host Merrimack on New Year's Day at 4 p.m. There will not be any fans in attendance but the game airs live on ESPN+.
