YALE GAME NOTESÂ
 Â
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Men's Hockey Team has an important conference matchup this Friday when Brown comes to Ingalls Rink at 7 p.m. for a game airing living on ESPN+.Â
Â
SERIES
Yale leads the series 100-76-8 but Brown has won two of the last three, including a 2-0 decision at Providence in the October season opener for both schools. Yale put 32 shots on net that night, but Luke Kania stopped them all.
Luke Pearson made 23 saves in the Eli net.
Â
BULLDOGS
Yale is coming off a weekend split with Dartmouth and Harvard at home last weekend.
Ian Carpentier one-timed a perfect feed from
Ryan Conroy in OT to give the Blue a 3-2 win over the Big Green.
Nathan Reid, who has both Yale wins, made 21 saves against Dartmouth. The next night,
Niklas Allain, who leads the team with three goals and six points, found the net early for a lead on the Crimson, but the Elis got into penalty problems and fell 5-3.
Cole Donhauser had a goal and two assists last Saturday in his most productive night as a Bulldog. After the Brown game, Yale has a few weeks to get ready for the Dec. 28-29 Holiday Faceoff at Milwaukee where it will face Wisconsin the first night and then take on either Bowling Green or Providence.
Â
BEARS
Brown is 3-8 overall and 3-5 in ECAC play after shutting out Harvard (2-0) and Dartmouth (4-0) last weekend and then falling at Boston College Tuesday night. Bears' goalie Mathieu Caron had 34 saves against the Crimson and 28 against the Big Green to earn the shutouts. He held the Eagles to two goals through 40 minutes but gave up three in the third and lost 5-2. There are five Brown players with multiple goals including Michael Maloney who has four.
TOYS FOR TOTS
Yale Athletics is participating in the Toys for Tots Campaign and there are boxes at Ingalls Rink to accept donations.
