BULLDOGS FALL AT LAFAYETTE
After opening the 2021 season with a resounding 6-0 win vs. Merrimack, Yale (1-2, 0-0 Ivy League) lost 2-1 for the second straight time last weekend. Lafayette went ahead 1-0 in the third quarter before sophomore forward
Lena Ansari (Glenview, Ill.) tied the game 29 seconds later. The game eventually headed to overtime, where the Bulldogs had a pair of possessions that ended in turnovers before Lafayette midfielder Lineke Spaans scored the game-winner less than 90 seconds in.

HOME COOKING
Starting Nov. 4, 2017 -- a 4-0 win vs. Brown -- Yale has gone 13-8 (.619) at Johnson Field.Â

SUMMER TIME
Three games into the season, sophomore goalkeeper
Luanna Summer (St. Louis, Mo.) has a .789 save percentage that puts her on pace for one of Yale's best seasons in recent memory. The last time a Yale goalkeeper finished a season with a save percentage that high was 2016, when
Emilie Katz '17 posted a .791 save percentage en route to earning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year.
Heather Schlesier '15 had a .792 save percentage in 2013, the only other time in the last 11 seasons that a Yale goalkeeper has finished at .789 or better.Â

SCOUTING COLGATE
Colgate (0-3, 0-0 Patriot League) has been outscored 10-3 in its first three games, including a 3-1 loss to Ivy League opponent Cornell. The Raiders played a five-game season this past spring, posting a 2-3 record.Â
