The Bears opened the scoring with under a minute left in the opening period, but the Bulldogs jumped on their second power-play opportunity to even things early in the second.

Vita Poniatovskaia took a pass from Elle Hartje in the slot and flicked a rising wrister stick side for her seventh goal of the year.

The home team grabbed the lead again late in the second and added two in the third, including an empty-net score, to put the contest away.

The Bulldogs and Bears square off again on Sunday back at New Haven in a 3 p.m. puck drop that airs live on ESPN+.
