Yale’s Unbeaten Streak Ends at Three

Bulldogs Fall to UConn at CT Ice 5-1

Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn.  – The Yale Men's Ice Hockey had its unbeaten string end at three games after falling 5-1 to Connecticut in the first game of the 2022 CT Ice at Webster Bank Arena.

Michael Young, a defenseman playing forward due to injuries, jumped on a rebound from a shot by Reilly Connors. Young's put-back from the low slot gave the Bulldogs an early lead on his first goal of the season.

UConn responded with two goals in 27 seconds and five straight overall to earn a spot in Sunday's 4 p.m. championship game.

The Bulldogs will play either Sacred Heart or No. 2 Quinnipiac tomorrow at 1: 30 p.m. in the CT Ice consolation game.
