CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 4 Elis lost to No. 2 Harvard this afternoon in Cambridge by a score of 7-2. Yale is now 8-2 on the season and No. 3 in the Ivy League behind only Penn and Harvard.
No. 9 Tyler Carney secured the lone victory for the Bulldogs on the evening, sweeping his opponent by a score of 11-7, 11-8, 12-14.
No. 2 Nadav Raziel,
No. 7 Jed Burde and
No. 8 Eric Kim fought tooth-and-nail before eventually losing to their Harvard opponents. Raziel took game one against a strong opponent in Marwan Tarek before Tarek marched back to win three straight in a four-game, 72-minute match. Burde and Kim both traded close games with their opponents before ultimately falling in five-games.
The Elis have a week off before heading into their final two games of the regular season against No. 3 Trinity on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and No. 10 Rochester on Sunday, Feb. 13.
