NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Bulldogs have to battle Dragons from Drexel on Sunday to bring in the new year, but they are both anxious to play squash in 2022. Yale's last match was nearly two months ago, a 9-0 victory against Brown on Nov. 18.
Since 2014, Yale is 4-3 against Drexel, with an undefeated home record and a 2-3 away mark. In their victories against Drexel, the Bulldogs have won big, notching two 8-1 victories, one of which was their last matchup in March of 2020, and one 9-0 sweep.
Drexel is 5-2 on the season, having lost only to top ranked Penn and No. 6 Columbia.
The Bulldogs' formidable group of first years, which include

Maxwell Orr and
Merritt Wurts, look to continue their hot start to the season. In the three matches before winter recess, the first-year Elis have posted a combined 14-1 record.
