How It Happened
- With 6:47 remaining in the first period, Jordan Ray lit the lamp for her first career goal off a backhanded dish from Elle Hartje behind the net.
- After a scoreless second period, the action picked up in the third with six penalties, three for each side, called.
- With 4:48 to go in the third, Anna Bargman collected a loose puck in the Bulldogs' defensive zone and slid it up to Ray. Ray skated it through the neutral zone down the right boards, cut across at the faceoff dot, pulled off a shimmy, and backhanded it into the lower left side to put Yale up two.
- The Crimson responded exactly three minutes later. A blocked shot by Harvard in their defensive end led to a breakaway goal with 1:46 remaining and an ensuing power play for the Crimson.
- Pia Dukaric stood on her head and made four saves in the final minute of action to secure the season-opening victory for the Bulldogs.
