COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Yale men's swimming and diving team finished a strong seventh at the Ohio State Invitational with 910.50 points.
The field for the three-day event was strong. Ohio State, Indiana, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Kentucky and Cincinnati were ahead of the Bulldogs. Yale placed higher than Miami and Pittsburgh.
On the final day, Yale's 400 freestyle relay team of
Noah Millard, Ben Meulemans, Connor Lee and
Joseph Page placed sixth in 2:55.95.
Millard also had a strong showing in the 1650 freestyle, finishing eighth in 15:08.58.
In the 100 freestyle, Page
was second in the B final with a time of 43.51.
In the 200 breaststroke, first year
Jack Saber placed sixth in the B final in 2:00.05, and in the 200 butterfly, Lee was second in the C final.
Yale broke three school records at the Invitational –
Alex Deng in the 100 breaststroke (53.81), Millard in the 500 freestyle (4:14.65) and the 400 medley relay team of Millard, Deng, Lee and Page.
Next up for Yale is a meet against Southern Connecticut on Dec. 8.
