NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Team 149 gathered at the Schwarzman Center on Sunday for its annual postseason banquet one day after defeating Harvard to clinch an outright Ivy League championship. The Bulldogs honored their outstanding senior class, while celebrating the program's third Ivy title in the last five years. Among the many special guests was Yale President Peter Salovey.
The program included a highlight video, eloquent remarks from
Tony Reno, The Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of the Bulldogs, and team captain
Nick Gargiulo.
In addition, 16 team awards were handed out:
Greg Dubinetz Award
Awarded to a lineman on the Yale football team who best exemplifies Gregory George Dubnetz' spirit as a player and qualities as a person.

Awarded to members on the team who has displayed exceptional physical contact.

To the memory of Lieutenant Frederick Woodrow Knapp, Attack Squadron 164 U.S. Navy, who so gallantly gave his life in air combat in the skies over North Vietnam on November 2, 1967. Awarded to the outstanding member of the Yale football team who best typifies the cheerful disposition, leadership qualities, and unselfish devotion to others that characterized Woody's life and accomplishments at Yale.
