NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs this weekend look to extend the second-longest win streak in the nation with matches at Penn and Princeton.
Yale enters the weekend winners of 16 in a row, and an overall record of 18-1 with a 10-0 mark in Ivy League play. Wright State and No. 2 nationally ranked San Diego both have won 17 matches in a row.
With two wins this weekend, the Bulldogs can clinch the Ivy League regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. As the No. 1 seed in the tournament, Yale would host all matches.
Last weekend, Yale completed season head-to-head sweeps of Cornell and Columbia. The Bulldogs held their two opponents to a combined .054 hitting percentage and won both matches 3-0 to improve to 8-0 at home this season.
Mila Yarich and
Carly Diehl were both named to the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts last weekend. Yarich led the Bulldogs in kills (19) and digs (24), while Diehl had 11 kills and 52 assists to go along with nine digs and four blocks.
Earlier this season, the Bulldogs defeated Penn and Princeton at home.
Audrey Leak had 21 kills that weekend, including a team-high nine in the victory over the Tigers.
The two matches this weekend mark the final road matches of the Ivy League regular season.
Yale continues to rank high in numerous statistical categories on the national scene.

Scouting Penn
The Quakers (2-18, 1-9 Ivy) wrap up their home season this weekend and will honor its three seniors, including
Audrey Leak's sister, Autumn. In addition, Autumn Leak was the only Penn player to reach double figures in kills in both matches last weekend, with 10 against Dartmouth and then a match-high 15 against Harvard. Abigail Reid's 4.49 digs-per-set average is fourth among freshmen nationally and 64th overall.
Scouting Princeton
The Tigers enter the weekend in second place to Yale with a 17-3 mark and 9-1 record in the Ivy League. Lucia Scalamandre was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the fifth time in 2022 last Monday. As a team, Princeton leads the nation in assists (13.71) and kills (14.73), while ranking 10th in hitting percentage (.289). Lindsey Kelly is also the national leader in assists (11.88).
