NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team is off to a strong start. The Bulldogs topped Brown 184.5-115.5 in its season opening meet at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool.
Alex Massey (100 and 200 butterfuly),
Ophelia Pilkinton (50 and 100 freestyle) and
Lily Horenkamp (1 and 3-meter diving) were all multi-event winners for Yale. In addition,
Lilly Derivaux captured the 500 freestyle.
The Bulldogs had the top two finishers in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
Jessey Li won the 100 in 1:02.10 and was second in the 200 (2:18.62).
Ava Franks captured the 200 in 2:18.10 and placed second in the 100 (1:03.44).
Yale also won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
The Bulldogs are right back in action on Saturday, hosting UMass.
