NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior midfielder
Théodora Dillman (Lancaster, Pa.) of the Yale field hockey team has been named All-ECAC. The ECAC announced the award Friday.
This is the third major award for Dillman this season. In November she was named second team NFHCA All-Mideast Region and first team All-Ivy League. In 17 games she tied for ninth in the Ivy League in goals (six) and tied for 17th in the league in points (13). She had the game-winning goals against Brown and Quinnipiac in overtime. She was a key part of Yale's penalty corner units and also helped Yale's defense hold eight opponents to one goal or less.
A three-time NFHCA All-Academic Squad honoree, Dillman is majoring in art and English. She is a graduate of Conestoga Valley.
There were 13 All-ECAC honorees selected this year at the Division I level. That included three other Ivy League players besides Dillman – Penn defender Gracyn Banks, Brown midfielder Lexi Pellegrino and Princeton midfielder Beth Yeager. Princeton's Carla Tagliente was named ECAC Coach of the Year.
The ECAC is an eighty-four-year-old organization with more than 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions.
