No. 11 Bulldogs Set for Ivy League Round Robin

All five teams competing are nationally ranked

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – One of the top performances of the season for the Yale men's fencing team came in its most recent bout, a 16-11 victory over then No. 7 Penn on Jan. 23 at the Philadelphia Invitational. The Bulldogs hope that momentum carries over to the Ivy League Round Robin this weekend at Brown's Olney-Margolies Athletic Center.

The Ivy League is once again stacked with national powerhouses. Columbia (No. 2), Harvard (t- No. 4), Princeton (No. 7) Penn (No. 8) and Yale (No. 11) are all ranked the USFCA Mid-Season poll.

The Bulldogs begin their quest for a league title on Saturday when they face Harvard at 3:30 p.m. That is followed by bouts with Columbia (4:45 p.m.) and Princeton (6 p.m.). The tournament concludes on Sunday. Yale faces Penn in its only bout at 2:15 p.m.

In addition to the team title, individual champions will be crowned in the foil, epee and saber.
